The Sporting Lodge in Middlesbrough had a fantastic location for my needs. I enjoyed the leisure club facilities, including the pool and sauna. My twin room felt clean and comfortable, perfect for relaxation after a long day. Breakfast offered a great variety and tasted delicious. I noticed the room had some maintenance issues. the toilet didn’t flush properly and the shower felt outdated. I also struggled with the Wi-Fi connectivity, which was nonexistent during my stay. It felt frustrating, especially when I needed to stay connected. Despite these issues, the helpful staff made the experience a bit better by addressing my concerns. I appreciated their friendly demeanor, but I hope they improve the facilities to match their service.

Great stay thanks to awesome staff!
The room was kinda dated but super clean and spacious! We totally enjoyed the restaurant, especially the breakfast. Big shoutout to Sam at the bar. she was so friendly and helpful. Only hiccup was the noise from events outside our room. But overall, it was a fantastic stay and we'd definitely come back again!

I recently stayed for 4 nights in a Standard Double Room, and it was great value for money with all the basic amenities I needed. The indoor pool and the sauna were perfect for unwinding after a long day. The bed could've been a bit more comfy, but overall, I had a lovely experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget-friendly stay! 😊

Perfect for a family getaway
Had a great time at the hotel, especially the pool – kids loved it! the breakfast was a real treat. fresh pastries and those mushrooms… incredible! I felt like a king just sitting there, eating while the family chatted away.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but acceptable given the amenities.
